Did you know that math plays a big role in psychology before you read the comic? Behavior simulations are not the only place it has in the field. In each empirical study data needs to be analyzed with methods from statistics. As I mentioned in my first psychoSoph comic psychologists can even work as data analysts in companies. That is why psychology students go to math classes at the beginning of their studies, e.g. statistics and test theory. I still remember that a lot of us were surprised in our first semester that we would not be able to escape math in our field. 😁

In case you wonder, why there are multiple overlapping continents on the Earth on the top of the comic: The graphic shows how they look now and how they probably looked 60 million years ago when an asteroid hit the Yucatán peninsular and cause a tsunami– NOOA Education.

This comic was a small collaboration with my awesome colleague Dr. Christian Scharun. Christian helped out with the research and summary of the climate studies and wrote the little statement that you find in the comic above.
